Volunteering on the Cayuga Waterfront Trail is a safe and fun activity for individuals, small groups, or families to do together.

You can volunteer for one-time projects, contribute to maintenance, or adopt a section of the trail for caretaking. Examples of tasks include weed pulling, hedge trimming, trail sweeping, planting, and garbage pick up. You can also join our adopters, individuals, organizations, and businesses who invest time, energy, and/or money into maintaining a section of trail. This is the community network that keeps our trail beautiful!

Volunteers are vital to keeping Stewart Park and the Cayuga Waterfront Trail beautiful! Friends of Stewart Park organizes volunteers for landscaping, trail maintenance, painting, litter cleanups and more. Many hands make short work and we can use you no matter what your skill sets! If you are interested in helping out as a volunteer, please sign up and you will receive emails notifying you of both scheduled events and emergency cleanups due to inclement weather, etc. We deeply appreciate all of our volunteers and they effort they put in.
