FREE THEATRE IN STEWART PARK

You are warmly invited to a free per-formance in Stewart Park. John Bunge and Briel Felton present two shows of their new work “The Sermon on the Mount” on Wednesday, July 20, at 5:30 and 7:00, in Stewart Park, near the Lagoon.
This 7-song cycle for soprano, baritone, and instrumental trio is based on the Biblical text from the perspective of two people in the crowd with their own story. Learn More!

FREE MOVIES IN STEWART PARK

The Tompkins Chamber and Serendipity Catering are hosting Movies in the Park once again this year, showing five FREE movies on Friday nights at Stewart Park from the last Friday night in July through August.
Families and kids of all ages are welcome, so grab your blankets and chairs, and join in the fun!
Event sponsors include: Presenting Sponsor- Guthrie Ithaca; Gold Sponsors- Chemung Canal Trust Company and Maguire Automotive; Silver Sponsors- Yelverton Insurance, Cinemapolis, Hotel Ithaca, and CSP Management.
In the event of inclement weather, Movies in the Park will take place at Cinemapolis that same evening with the movie starting promptly at 7:30 pm. A rain call will be made by 12 pm the day of. MORE INFO >

Wharton Studio Museum invites you to Silent Movie Under the Stars at Taughannock State Park! August 20th, 2022 Saturday, 8:00 p.m.
This year Silent Movie Under the Stars proudly presents Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) starring the incomparable Buster Keaton! It's WSM's 12th year producing this popular outdoor end-of-summer screening in partnership with the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. Bring a picnic, chair, blanket, along with your family and friends, and join us under the night sky at Taughannock Falls State Park. CAROUSEL BIRTHDAY THANKS
Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate 70 years of the Stewart Park Carousel on Saturday, June 25! The sun was shining and the kids were smiling!
Thank you to Phoebe Brown and Jean McPheeters for speaking, Girl Scout Troop 40169 for running the crafts, Nate the Great for the entertainment, donations from P&C Fresh and Greenstar, and most of all, to the Tompkins County Tourism Program for the grant support that make this event possible!

Join Friends of Stewart Park and Wharton Studio Museum Saturday, September 24, 6:00 PM to celebrate the end of a lovely summer in Stewart Park.
For this 7th annual fundraiser, we're celebrating a restored Cascadilla Boathouse exterior, accessible bathrooms in the Wharton Studio Museum, and enhanced landscaping; and looking ahead to a new Splash Pad and seasonal restroom, and the Wharton Studio Park Center Complex! Stay tuned for details!
