Our ANNUAL WATERFRONT CLEANUP, will be Saturday, April 5 from 10 am to noon!

Together, we'll practice good stewardship of our park and Cayuga Lake’s waterfront, with trash cleanup, pavilion cleaning, and trimming. Dress for the weather, wear boots or sturdy shoes, and bring gloves, garbage bags, litter grabbers, rakes or anything else that will help.

Thanks to Zero Waste Ithaca for partnering with FSP on this cleanup. Meet by the Wharton Building (DPW).

If the weather is terrible, we’ll reschedule to April 12th.

Friends of Stewart Park is hosting a volunteer cleanup event in Stewart Park on Saturday, October 23 (new date due to rainy forecast on the 16th) from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Tasks will include: Trimming Lakeshore vegetation; adding playground fibar surfacing; shoveling, sweeping and raking the sand play area, and litter and brush cleanup.

Wear boots & bring gloves, hand loppers, pruners and hedge trimmers, wheelbarrows, pitchforks, yard rakes and iron rakes, depending on the type of work you'd like to do!

Meet in the parking lot between the Picnic Pavilion and the Wharton Studio building to sign in and get directions.

Join Friends of Stewart Park in sprucing up the park- evenings the week of June 14-18! We'll be painting benches, assembling picnic tables and other special projects to make the ensure the park looks its best for its 100th Birthday! Click the link to be added to the Volunteer List (we'll send more details with dates and times to those who sign up soon).

UPDATE: Our incredible volunteers are knocking it out of the park, so we will not be meeting Thursday or Friday.
