In this special Party for the Park enews, you'll learn all about this year’s raffle, StewarTship Award honorees, music, food and more! The fundraiser is only a week away, and while you can purchase tickets at the door, we warmly encourage you to get your tickets in advance. Friends of Stewart Park and Wharton Studio Museum are bringing the party back to the Roaring 1920s when silent movies were all the cat’s meow, jazz was playing in secret clubs downtown, and Ithacans were gathering in their new public lakeside park. Come as you are or make the party even more fun with a flapper dress or Great Gatsby inspired suit! We’ll have headbands to don and props to pose with at Jyl’s Photo Booth! This year’s deserving honorees include: Nick Helmholdt Ryszard Usack Steve Lauzun Jennifer Tavares Raffle This year's Party for the Park includes an incredible raffle with nearly $2000 worth of prizes, including a $1500 Kayak Package! Buy your raffle tickets in advance online or at the party! Online raflle ticket buyers will be presented with physical raffle tickets at Party for the Park. You must be present to win. Our Grand Raffle Prize is this beautiful Wilderness Pungo 10.5’ Kayak, Personal Floatation Device, & waterproof compartment sponsored by Lincoln Morse of Discover Ithaca. Other Raffle Prizes include local gift certificates and a Carousel Sponsorship! BUY RAFFLE TICKETS FOOD AND DRINK This year Party for the Park is featuring delicious appetizers, a main course, and dessert by Van Noble Farms; including smoked chicken, smoked pork, numerous autumnal vegetarian and vegan options, and more. Tasks include: trimming lakeshore vegetation and cleaning up the Picnic Pavilion and Wharton Studio/DPW building. We’ll meet rain or shine! Like and share the event on Facebook. More details: FSP has cleaning tools available for the Picnic Pavilion, and some landscaping tools, as well, but if you want to help on the shoreline, feel free to bring your own gloves, hand loppers, pruners and hedge trimmers. There’s less than two weeks to get your tickets for this year’s Party! We’re celebrating our current Roaring 20s by bringing the party back to the Roaring 1920s when silent movies were all the cat’s meow, jazz was playing in secret clubs downtown, and Ithacans were gathering in their new public lakeside park. Come as you are, or if you’d like, wear a sparkly headband, flapper dress, or Great Gatsby inspired suit! We just want you there! This year’s party will include live jazz, an incredible raffle (details below), and local wine, beer and cider. Van Nobel Farm will cater a full farm-to-table meal including appetizer and dessert.
