Earth Day Waterfront Cleanup

by Friends of Stewart Park on February 10, 2017

When:  April 22, 10am to 1pm

Location details: TBA

What:  Join Greenstar, Cayuga Waterfront Trail Initiative, Friends of Stewart Park, TC Dog and many other waterfront stakeholder organizations for our annual waterfront spring cleaning.  The focus is on picking up litter, selective trimming of vegetation encroaching on the Waterfront Trail or blocking views of the water, weeding and mulching at trailheads, overlooks and benches, and sweeping or blowing the trail surface.  Bring your push brooms, leaf blowers, garden tools, gloves and trash bags (although trash bags can be provided if needed).

Where:  The cleanup occurs along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail from the Visitor Center & Stewart Park, past the Farmers Market and Boathouses to Inlet Island, then north through Cass Park and Treman State Marine Park.  It is a decentralized event and cleanup coordinators will be located at key locations along the trail.  Details to be announced in March.  A central tent with refreshments will be set up near Greenstar.
