Prospect Park Alliance:
40 Years of Restoring Brooklyn’s Olmsted Masterwork
A Benefit for Stewart Park

Thursday, March 9, 7:00 pm at Cinemapolis

The Ithaca Native Landscape Symposium is pleased to sponsor a benefit for the Friends of Stewart Park – a presentation by Prospect Park Alliance Vice-President and Landscape Architect Christian Zimmerman, FASLA, about the 40 year long restoration of Prospect Park.  Prospect Park, a 583 acre romantic 19th century public park located Brooklyn, is considered by many to be Central Park designer Frederick Law Olmsted’s most scenic and successful urban park design. Christian will present two Prospect Park landscape restoration projects at the INLS and has kindly agreed to also present an illustrated overview of the Prospect Park history, design, and the Prospect Park Alliance’s 40 year park restoration effort.  This presentation will be both a benefit for Friends of Stewart Park and inform FSP’s park revitalization efforts.
